The Boxis AutoShred: Quickly And Quietly Getting On With The Job of Document Destruction

Pitney Bowes South Africa, known for its track record in helping businesses work smarter, has announced a newcomer to the fold: the Boxis AutoShred, a revolutionary shredding machine which does the arduous job of shredding quickly and automatically

Michael Springer, Managing Director of Pitney Bowes SA, explains why the award-winning Boxis shredding machine is a ‘must have’ for businesses with high-volume document shredding needs:

“The Boxis has a paper tray capacity of up to 700 pages. It shreds automatically, without your having to stand next to it, feeding the papers in. This is a bonus for people with better things to do than ‘feed’ a manual shredder, ten to twenty sheets at a time.”

The Boxis AutoShred takes up to 25 minutes to destroy 500 sheets, but, as Springer points out, but only 5 seconds of your own time to load the paper. “It can be a tedious, unproductive task and a waste of money and time standing next to the shredder.”

Springer explains how the new shredder has been designed to make life easier:

“The innovative paper feeder mechanism grabs the papers from the middle and feeds them into the solid steel cutters. The feeder tray doors are connected, so opening one door will automatically open the other. This is important because you can arrive at the shredder with a big stack of paper in one hand and open both feeder trays with the other, with one movement.”

Ensure private documents stay private with the Boxis AutoShred

In addition to a major ramp up in capacity, the Boxis shredding machine offers the distinctive security feature of allowing the user to lock the machine (through the use of a PIN number) so that no-one can open it until all the paper is shredded.

“This is a very useful feature if you need to destroy sensitive or private documents, such as payroll data, legal documents or HR information,” Springer points out.

“You no longer need to engage a third party vendor to come into your company to destroy documents, which is always a risk. Nothing is safer than destroying sensitive documents yourself,” he says.

The Boxis provides these benefits while barely making a sound. “It is powerful, compact and elegant; and best of all, nobody in the vicinity would know that the shredder is running,” notes Springer.

The Boxis shredder takes document destruction to efficient new levels, quietly getting on with your shredding so that you can get on with business.
