Advanced Operator / Setter Course

This course enables the experienced machine operator, who has successfully completed a Key Operator course, to set and adjust the complete mailing system for different jobs and to overcome day-to-day running problems, thereby maximising production levels.

On successful completion of the course each participant will be able to:

• Run the complete mailing system to obtain maximum production
• Perform the adjustments necessary to effect a job change on the system
• Demonstrate the operator procedures necessary to maintain the equipment to a safe working condition
• Understand the Health and Safety aspects of the particular equipment being trained upon.

Pitney Bowes’ range of operator training courses for inserting platforms has been developed to provide you with a tailored solution to your operator training requirements and the need for competence in a modern mailing operation.

Courses are prepared by our own training department with specific goals in mind and to strict quality standards. Training can be staged from Key Operator through to Advanced Operator and Setter level, to allow staff to improve their skills and knowledge, and encourage job development.

The Training Department provides a dedicated quality service to Pitney Bowes’ customers providing courses on the following topics:

• Machine Modules - Training for specific modules of a mailing system such as cutters or sheet feeders or the base inserter
• Customised Solutions - Training tailored to your own mailing solution. For all equipment in the Pitney Bowes range: MPS, FPS SD, DI Series, DPS and for legacy machines such as APS, FX, Comet, Vitesse, 8 Series and 9 Series.

Approximately one month after the initial training course has taken place, the following actions are taken:

• Performance Assessments - Operators will have a post training assessment where an assured level of competence must be achieved
• Certified Competence - On successful completion of the assessment a certificate will be issued
• Performance Feedback - A summary report of each operator's performance will be issued to the customer.
